Contemporary psychoanalytic therapy is an interactive style of psychotherapy that facilitates deep emotional understanding and respect for how you came to be the person you are. Some aspects of you are inherited, some have been incorporated through experience, others exist as innate potential waiting to be elaborated.
Couples Therapy
60 minute sessions
Relationships are a dynamic system. Partners enact unconscious agreements about who will contain and manage particular emotions and experiences on behalf of the other or the couple as a whole. Therapy helps make these dynamics conscious so partners can move more skillfully between intimacy and separateness.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
50 minute sessions, 1-3 times weekly
EMDR is a collaborative therapeutic method that helps people integrate emotions and unconscious beliefs about themselves that are connected to past difficult experiences. Some of these experiences may have been ongoing and cumulative in nature. EMDR can be used as a tool in the course of talk therapy.

I lead a weekly supervision group for therapists on Thursdays from 1-2pm EST via zoom.
